Principal's Message
At Kinnaman Elementary, our staff recognize that our community is entrusting us with their children and we welcome the responsibility. Our students’ futures matter, and we are striving to make Kinnaman the place all students belong, believe, and achieve. We believe in each and every student’s capacity to learn, grow, and thrive. This year, as we hold our students to high academic standards and provide them with the support they need to achieve their goals at school, we are asking for your partnership at home as well.
To help your child succeed, we need you to:
-
Ensure your child(ren) come to school every day unless they meet the Too Sick for School criteria.
-
Support your child(ren) in reading 30 minutes or more per night at home. The time that families read together counts. The beginning of the year is a great time to establish regular reading routines at home.
-
Support your child(ren)’s progress in math by using DreamBox at home. We require all students in grades K-5 to complete at least 5 DreamBox lessons per week, but recommend additional lessons for children who are not yet meeting grade level standards.
We are looking forward to your partnership!
Sincerely,
Dr. Hudson
Principal
